Is it wrong to do this?

Because our basement (Our Bedroom) is under construction, my husband and I stay in the living room. It's now been a month. We have a kitty who's two months and is craaaaaazy at night. She jumps on our faces, likes to scratch everything, bites our toes. While I don't mind this, I do mind that she does this to our 7 month old. My husband hates it and our cat also wakes him up around 4am each night. We started putting her in one of our other kids room. I live a lamp on which lightens the whole room, her food and water and her litter box. I feel really bad doing this, I don't want her to be scared or isolated. My stepdaughter is only here every other week. The week that she's here, she sleeps with our cat but this week that's coming, the cat will be alone in the room. Am I being mean? The room is cozy and all. She likes to lay on the mattress, she honestly sleeps like a queen. But I feel really sad to lock her in our daughters room.
