Grandma Shaming Child

🌥BellaNutella🐳 • Livin' La Vida Loca
So I recently went to the Bahamas.  While on the beach, I picked up on a conversation between a grandmother and an 8 year old child.  It went something like this.
👧🏻:  I want to be tall!  I'm soooo short!
(I was expecting the usual "honey you're beautiful" thing at this point from grandma)
👵🏻: You can't be tall.  You're over weight.  Look at that belly.  That's chocolate and ice cream right there.  Shouldn't have worn that bathing suit; you look like a boat.
Me: ...
👧🏻:  I'm sorry mami.
  WHAT THE HECK.
It's hard to believe that fat shaming can exist in a family!  Especially towards a beautiful eight year old child!
Have you had any experiences with child fat-shaming?  Like for real, it's a problem that affects too many kids.
***NOTE
The Grandma wasn't joking or teasing.  She sounded legit disgusted by her granddaughter's weight.
