How did you feel when they first placed your baby on your chest?

How did you feel? Was it different than you thought you'd feel?

I just kept repeating I love you over and over again. To my son and my husband. I cry just thinking about it. I can't wait to experience it again!!!

I don't remember any thing else that went on around me at that moment. all I remember is looking at my baby finally. it was kind of like tunnel vision. I was super excited and crying.

I felt so much love when I looked at him and felt him. He reached his arms out to me. I never felt something so wonderful in my life. I had him on my chest for almost two hours without being disturbed.

I was so in shock after giving birth that I honestly don't even remember, but I have a picture of it and I look really tired and I'm just staring at him in disbelief and with a smile on my face.  Also, they didn't hand him to me right when he was out since he was born with the umbilical cord around his neck so they had to take him for a while before I got to hold him. I think that's probably why it wasn't a magical experience like I was expecting.😿

tired, I honestly just wanted to go to sleep once I knew that she was out of me safe healthy with a no defects I just wanted to go to shower and sleep. I was pretty much going with the motions, I didn't want to be bothered with nurses at all but I didn't want to seem unfit so to say. all I want or thought about was my baby, my man and i going home so I could sleep, not be bothered or watched like a science project  and care for our daughter together.

I didn't feel that pure love and joy that I hear about. I might have been a little stunned because they had a hard time getting her breathing. But I remember just staring at her beautiful little face
