why are 8mon olds so clumsy?

seriously my twins fall and bonk their heads at least 5 times a day. I am really considering wrapping them in bubble wrap,if not their head then every hard surface in the house. Not to mention how many times one of falls off the bed. these buggers are fast.

you know i know i am not mom of the year, i let my kids play on the bed that they slip off of then crawl over wanting back up, holding on to the edge and bouncing with a big ole grin on their face because they know they got the slip on mom. so yeah may not be mom of the year for this but my babies are healthy, happy, and not covered in bruises. I dont leave them unattended ANYWHERE! they dont sleep on my bed, even with me, they have their own cribs without bumpers because SIDS is too real and yes they get a leg or arm stuck between the bars. I posted this thinking that i could get feed back from other moms who have kiddos doing the same thing, not to be hung and beaten. these babies are my world, i quit my job for them, to be home with them to see every first. im not the mom you hear about on the news who left a mop bucket next to the bed for baby to fall in, or left my baby a lone for four hours while she screamed bloody murder because she was being attacked by rats. i am the kind of mom you don't hear about because I am trying my everything to spend as much time with these babies and still raise my other kids to be strong well rounded open minded kids. thats what kind of mom i am.

i should probably add that my bed sits really low,  no frame just right on the floor and really, i have wood floors through most my house so rugs are everywhere. This isnt my first rodeo i have three older kids. maybe it just seems these two are more clumsy because there is two of them so they often push each other over or knock heads with the other. as far as the bed its less than a foot tall, i fall off a lot in my sleep, with a pretty plush rug under it.

My first was like that. I always considered him the daredevil of the family lol I couldn't tell you how many times he hit his head off of things running around. He was an early walker (started just before 9 months) needless to say he got hurt ALOT. He was always and still is extremely adventurous, thankfully babies are extremely resilient. Our first child prepared us for our second who is a lot calmer haha.

not left unattended on the bed, guess i should've made that clear. they're crawling and standing. I change and feed them on the bed, they're bf so one will get finished and play while the other finishes. Every so often my boy will get out of reach and he is off the bed in a flash. He always lands on his butt because he goes down feet first. Then he crawls over wanting back up

8 month old babies should NEVER be left in a situation when they should even be able to fall off a bed!!!!! They also shouldn't be bumping their heads multiple  times a day either. At that age their tiny skulls are still so soft and still forming properly. You really must be more careful.

babies fall over a lot. put them in a safe area with a rug to cushion their toppling over....

You can buy padded baby helmets.  My son had to wear ome as a baby because his balance was awful, and he was always fallimg over.
