Sudden increase in fetal movement at 37+5?

Question

I'm 37+5 and all of a sudden baby boy became very active for about 1-2 hours. My lower abdomen is hurting as well but I don't think those are contractions. I'm an FTM and reading numerous articles still doesn't help to know what to look for. I heard that signs of impending labor usually include a reduction in fetal movement. Is there a reason for me to be worried?

If you're having pains that aren't consistent then it's probably braxton hicks. But if you're having pain that's constant and nothing helps, like taking a shower or laying down then its contractions.
