Waiting to start TTC with IUI

Hi first time poster... so me and my partner are waiting to start TTC with IUI, how long have you found the wait to be?

We got referred to the gynae in Nov last year, we had a first appt in May which was a quick in and out thing. We were given blood forms and had our weight and heights checked and a brief medical history.

I had my bloods taken on my following cycle and then went in for a Hycosy which was in June, it had to be abandoned as I found it unbearable.

Two weeks ago I went in for a pre-op assessment for a lap and dye, still waiting for my appointment to come through for surgery.. though the consultant said it would be an urgent appointment.

I had my day 2-5 day blood test done last Friday.

Sorry for the long post, I'm just feeling a little lost and wanted to know others experiences and how long they have waited for things to feel like they are in motion.
