Fetal Dopplers- good or waste?

Sooo, I heard that you can get a fetal Doppler so you can listen to your babies heart at home. I thought about it, for myself but even for my husband so he feels more included in the pregnancy. 
Has anyone ever used one or has made experiences with them? Any advise is appreciated :)

If you get one, don't rely on it too much. If you think that something is off then go to the hospital. A lot of women play "doctor" and end up having bad consequences. Also, ask your doctor on how to use it and how often. Prolonged use isn't good bc those waves can get harmful. Best of luck.

Absolutely love it. It eases my mind every time I hear the heartbeat. I started hearing it about 10 weeks.

Home Dopplers are not recommended by doctors! It increases anxiety and hospital visits and hospital costs! Medical people are the only ones trained to use them. As a labor and delivery nurse sometimes it takes me 30 minutes to find the heartbeat and sometimes just a minute, everyone is different. It can be really hard to find the heartbeat very early on and it will only make you worried sick!

I had one and loved it. It helped put my mind at ease. BUT if you ever feel decreased movement, don't rely on hearing a heart beat on the doppler. Go into the hospital

We just got one and absolutely love it. I'm almost 18 weeks and haven't felt baby move yet so it was a huge relief but we most definitely don't use it everyday.

I'm plus size and found baby's heat beat at 9+5 and used it once a day till I started to feel kicks I'm currently 37+3, i loved mine it put my mind at ease that's for sure. It is hard to find it st first but once u find it it's so reliving

Best $30 I've ever spent! Between that & the 30-40 ultrasounds I had during my pregnancy (because I was high risk) my son is perfectly healthy. Get you one!
