Will robots soon be part of normal life?

Do you think robots will one day be part of our normal lives? Just walking around like everybody else having jobs (not that they would need one) being our friends or lovers?  Would it be a good thing for society or not? 🤖

I hope so. I'm so tired of having to load and unload the dishwasher by myself. 😉
And I would love a laundry robot. One that would collect, wash, dry, fold, and put away. 
I need a Rosie like on the Jetsons. 🤖💕

I kinda hope not... I feel like human interaction can't be replaced with a piece of metal... I definitely don't want one for a lover!!

Not sure if you've seen the movie Ex-Machina, but it's related to this topic. Basically, they try to make a robot that is the same as a human, and she basically is. But there's still something about humans that can't be replicated. And the debate about the movie is whether or not she really is human (but you have to watch the movie to understand).

I don't think "soon" but maybe one day in the future. I don't think we will see it in our lifetime.

I don't think they'll be walking around and stuff. I do think and already see a bunch of kiosks replacing minimum wage jobs because people were demanding high pay for low skill jobs.
