10 pounds
I recently went to my doctor and found out that I was not 170 pounds like I thought I was. I was actually 192. I saw the number pop up on the scale and about cried. I have always hated how my body looks and have been insecure about my weight so when I found out that I was 8 pounds away from being 200 something had to change. My doctor wanted me to keep a food journal and stay under 1700 calories for the day.
So when I got home I did just that. I switched up my eating habits and made veggies my main ingredient in almost every dish. Stop eating out, which was rather nice on my wallet as well. Started going on long walks and attending a Zumba class three times a week at the Y.
It has been 12 days since I had that conversation and I am pleased to say that I am DOWN 10 pounds already.
