Nexplanon bleeding/discharge?

I got the nexplanon implant June 30th because i normally have very heavy periods it was on my 4th day of my period which normally lasts 8 days but it only lasted 6. Since then I had normal discharge for about a week but it gradually grew darker and darker and at some points bleeding for about a week. Me and my kind of boyfriend are ready to have sex and I don't think both of us would be comfortable with the situation. I told him I need 2 months from when I got it so that my body regulates but what if the dark dishcharge/bleeding does not subside?! I've read many posts that taking 800mg ibuprofen can temporarily subside the problem but I don't know if that will work or if it's true. I really would like to take this step forward but I don't know if I can if this does not go back to normal soon, help!!!

It does work 😊 I had intermittent bleeding while I had it and my provider recommended this. It did wonders. If the bleeding doesn't subside, you can look at getting the implant removed.
