Medicating before vaccines?

Help! My LO is getting her 2 month vaccines coming up and I've heard some talk about giving her Tylenol before we leave the house for her appointment.
Has anyone done this and what was your experience with it?

Do it after if baby needs it. If you do it before it can reduce immunogenicity and that kind of defeats the whole purpose of getting the shots to begin with.

I was told no Tylenol before or until 4 hours after. you won't know how baby will handle it until you go through it. my dd's 2 month shots were the worst and I did give Tylenol later that night since she was making the same pain cry that she had when they did it. but her 4 month and 6 months shots she was only upset during and at the dr's office and did fine once we were home. good luck! 💕

Like the other parts are saying, my pediatrician said to give it only if necessary afterward, since baby may not need it & it's best not to give meds unnecessarily so young. Sure enough, my baby was TOTALLY fine within 30 seconds of both rounds of vaccines he's had so far (2mo & 4mo)-- maybe slept a little extra that evening but that's it. So I'm glad we didn't give him any meds.
