What does getting a epidural really feel like?

I defiantly wanna get one when I give birth but I have this little fear of needles. I heard if you move while there poking you it can cause you to become paralyzed... I know I'm twitchy movey whenever it's time for a needle so I'm worried about pain/risks 😕

I honestly didn't feel it, I think I was in so much pain frm the contractions, the pain frm the needle was the last thing on my mind.. Also, I've heard tht too about being paralyzed from it but the chances of tht are extremly slim..

Trust me once those contractions start to hit you won't gaf your just going to want the pain to stop

I had a couple contractions while they were putting it in, so I dont remember it being painful when they actually put the needle in, all I remember is while they were doing whatever they do while it's in your back is him hitting nerves so I was twitching uncontrollably .... they yelled at me to stop but I was like I'm sorry! You're doing this to me! I can't help it! Lol

A pinch. Like getting a regular needle. And then the pain is gone and it's beautiful. Aahhh

The nurse held me firmly & honestly I don't even remember any pain from it - - whatever it felt like was clearly waaaaaaaaaay less painful than the contractions.

There are risks for a lot of things, including natural child birth. But try not to worry. I got epidural and they did it during a contraction and a nurse held me until he was done. I wouldn't say it hurt but you can feel it when it goes in. It was the best choice for me. I had an amazing birth.
