do I need to boil water for powder formula?

So I'm switching my baby formula from ready to feed to powder formula

Do you ladies boil your water

At my house we buy gallon water and have a gallon water dispenser that has a hot water button

My question is would it be ok if I used that hot water feature or just boil the water in the stove ?

I've never heard that it has to be boiled. I have 2 kids and never boiled water for formula and they are perfectly fine. We did run bottles under hot water to heat up the bottles when they were first born. My son is now 5 1/2 months and he drinks room temp water.

It's not about the temperature at which you give it to your baby.

We filter our water and put it into a jug that sits out on our counter so it's room temperature.

There is specific baby water. It's not the same as distilled or purified. And technically , according to doctors and my wic lady ALL water needs boiling. Even if it is a gallon of the baby water. I don't.  Only time I boil is if I have to use tap. I don't like the chance of germs, chlorine, and lead in water for my baby.

We use room temp water. Webuy gallons of nursery water with no fluoride. I've never boiled water.

I go by what it says on the box. boil tap water and let it cool. however I am in Scotland where we have very soft water and no need to buy water. advice for bought water from the Box of formula is to be aware of the additives in it.
