Bee stings

Okay, to all those who know anything about bee stings.

I've always been able to tolerate pain, never had a problem as a kid getting hurt or even today.

My boyfriend has his own lawn care business and has been stung probably hundreds of times. My brother has been stung many times.. they brush it off like it's nothing and the pain from the sting never bothers them again.

But as for me, I'm 20. And today was the 2nd time in my entire life getting stung by a bee. First time was on my hand, had no idea what stung me. The stinger was left in me and my bf pulled it out. No allergic reaction besides normal pain and swelling. Except for the pain lasted for days.

Today, a yellow jacket stung my thigh through my jeans and left its stinger. Again, my bf pulled it out. Also, no extreme reaction just tons of horrible pain and swelling and now I have a huge knot on my leg from where I was stung.

Although my bf takes care of me, him and my brother make fun of me bc they think the pain is light..

all in all... does the pain of bee stings affect people differently or are they just used to being stung?

Hate feeling like I'm being a baby but it hurts.
