If it is, how severe is it?

my son has the same lip tie and a slight tongue tie as well, but like you, he's gaining weight and the Dr isn't concerned. other than dribbling when he eats and making that popping noise, it doesn't seem to bother him either. I cannot imagine having it clipped..that would kill me!

She eats fine, occasionally she'll pop off but she's gaining weight...she can close her mouth just fine, although she does stick her tongue out a lot

That is a lip tie and does he's lips stay open when he's shutting them if that makes sence, if he's feeding and not fussy that way then its fine, my little boy has one and he's lips are always open but he feeds great so doc aren't worried
