I'm so confused??

So when I'm on my period, sometimes randomly i would find a wet spot on my pants near my crotch that smells like urine. For example just now I was hanging with my older brother that I don't see often, and I look down and see a little wet spot. I go to the bathroom to see what it is and it's fairly big so I smell it and it smells like pee. I didn't have the urge to go pee or anything, and I also have a tampon in because I'm on my period. It's as if I peed myself a little but I know I didn't. I noticed that this has happened a couple times before but only when I'm on my period. It comes so randomly and I don't even notice, it's like discharge,, but not. I don't know what it is or why it happens but if anyone knows please comment :/
