This isn't 'women's health' related but?? My toenail fell off??

A while ago the bottom right corner of my toe nail turned purple and broke off. Then it grew out and the nail that grew from the right corner has been yellow and thick. The other half of the nail is fine but this yellow part is not attached to the skin and hurts sometimes. This is what it looks like now.

Will it look like this forever? How do I fix it?

Oddly enough that's happened to me before too. Like my entire actual toenail sorta fell off unexpectedly. It was so weird lol but it grew right back. Honestly I'd wait like 2 months if I were you and if nothing's changed maybe see a doctor? But its prob nothing major

My one nail was treated by a doctor for an ingrown toenail and it always grows back the same way you're describing. I asked another doctor about it years later, she said something about the root of the nail being damaged and it can't be fixed. So now it grows in all bumpy and not attached and falls off every couple of months.

It's normal, it'll grow back. Make sure you're keeping up on your vitamin intake and maybe slap some Neosporin on it so it doesn't get infected !
