How long should baby sleep in your room?

I know everyone is different. But I can't imagine not having my little guy next to me at night. I feel bad because my husband now sleeps in the other room. How long does everyone plan to keep their baby in the room with them?

6 months based on my pediatrician recommendation. My husband wants her in her own crib and room asap.... which is funny because he isn't the one who wakes up when she wakes up to feed. 🙂

Sometime around the 1 year mark. We'll see how it's going, and just do it when it feels right.

I kept my first in my room til she was about 11m, I'll probably keep this one in our room til 6 or 9m. Depends on how she sleeps lol

6 months; partly because the doctor advises it, partly because I know as soon as I open our bedroom door to go check on her, the dog will be in our room like a shot, and I am NOT going to put up with wrestling the dog out of my side of the bed and our room several times a night!

A lot of articals suggest at least 6 months, but I am thinking I might do it when she out grows her bassinett.  But then again I can't imagine her not being next to me.
