Cervadill??

Question

I go in Sunday night to start the cervadill any one have it?? And can give me some info on how it worked for you? This is my 3rd baby but never had to have this done before so I'm a little nervous!!

I had it with my first child last year.  Wasn't bad or anything.  It actually helped me get into early labor before they started pitocin.  Started feeling a little crampy with it after a 2-3 hours, and then they started pitocin to get me into labor.

I was induced Wednesday and it worked wonderfully for me!! If your body is ready enough the cervadil may even be enough to start labor without pitocin! Luckily for me I had the gel put in at 9 am and my doctor broke my water at 1 and I progressed so fast that I didn't need pitocin! Thank goodness because my contractions came so hard and fast after my water broke and I have heard that pitocin may make them worse. I held out for my epidural until 3:20 ish and then He was here at 3:53! A very fast first time labor! Hope all goes well for you!

I had it earlier this month, no negative side effects but it did make me have a little more cramping. The only thing that sucked is they want you to stay in bed and I get stir crazy really quick. It softened my cervix from a 0 to a 2-3 overnight before they started my Pitocin in the morning.
