So my 7 month old started doing this fake cough and we thought it was the funniest thing. She would randomly cough and then smile at us. We figured it was to get our attention or just to be silly. Or maybe it was just a new noise for her. No big deal. So we wrote it off as a fake cough. Lately when she does it, it seems more real. I catch her doing it more and a little more intense. Now she gets a little red faced and her eyes water up. Occasionally she seems like she wheezes a little bit. Before it was just a simple "fake cough" with none of that.

Could this still be a fake cough and she's just adding on to it or has anyone else had the same situation and it turn out to be something legit?
