Thinking about my plan for when labor starts since I'm due in two weeks. I was hoping you guys could help me.

I'm nervous to leave either too late or too early into labor. I live an hour away, so how close together do you guys suggest I allow my contractions to be before we leave for the hospital? I see a few doctors in the practice, and the last one I seen said to wait until they're 1-2 minutes apart but I just don't feel like that is right. I worry if I wait until then I'll have to stop at the nearest hospital instead and I really don't want to have to do that. I plan to ask my favorite doctor in the practice next week because my appointment is with her, but I was wondering JUST IN CASE it happens before then. Can you guys give me any advice?
