Menstrual cup? Period panties?

I'm curious about trying one of these, but I'd like to get more info. Has anyone tried either of them and decided they didn't like and switched back to tampons/pads? Why? Is there anything that you wish you would have known before buying/trying them? Thanks!

I bought the Diva cup to save money on bleeding expenses, I love it. I just forget I have it because I used pass and tampons for so long, it's difficult of getting into the habit of using, but if it's in right you get 12 hours of leak free protection.
my one annoyance about it, the pull tab thing. either I have a short vagina, or the tab is too long, maybe both. but I always feel it avid it's ready hard to ignore. they say you can trim it, but not too short or it's difficult to take the cup out.
make sure you turn it the full 360 degrees to get a good suction on your cervix, it takes a couple minutes, but you won't leak.
when taking it out, push the top in a little too get some air in the cup and remove suction, then pull it out, otherwise you're yanking your cervix and it's... not the funnest sensation. it's weird.
I would recommend watching YouTube videos on the different ways to insert it, to find what works for you. the "standard way" that they say to use in the paper that comes with it, didn't work for me. it was painful and uncomfortable to insert. but there's another way you fold half in, and that one works for me. the videos will give you visuals. I know I probably don't make any sense.
everyone's different. I think it's great.
I don't have period panties, but I do plan in buying some for the last 2 days of my period. those minimal bleeding "just Get it over with" days. I heard great reviews. there are blogs that go into every brand, how they fit, how much They hold.
I do occasionally use pads and tampons, but They aren't my favorite. they're backup or if I'm in a hurry because my toddler is pouring my hair oil in the carpet or something of that nature.
