Angry Nips

My nipples have been hard and irritable for two or three days now. They aren't actively sore, but if they touch or brush against anything it feels horrible. I've been showering with chicken arms as a defence, and I can't run without holding them securely in place.

I did some research on the Internet, but everything just says "pregnant or menstruating!" Both highly unlikely, unless my body's decided to ignore my birth control, or someone has snuck into my room at night with a turkey baster. Ha.

Any ideas? It seems to be receding, but it does happen every once in a blue moon, so if anyone has ideas for prevention or treatment it would still help.
