Too long of times between periods?

Question

I used to have an average cycle of 38 days between periods and was very regular each month. Though lately I've been going about 45-47 days between periods and I seem to ovulate late too. I'm 25, should I be worried about the length of days between periods?

I suggest talking to your doctor about it. We decided to start TTC in February and to do so I had to regulate my cycle. My average was 68 days and the longest was 110 days. We have been working on fixing this with different medications and changes in eating and still nothing has worked to regulate my period. I would get it check out just so when you are ready to have a baby you don't have to waste months trying to regulate your period then.

I'm no medical expert but there were a few times that I've had 100+ days between periods (with the longest about 160ish) so I think it would depend on what your normal is. I think it would also depend on where in you reproductive life you are (like if you are closer to about 50s, then it may be menopause slowly kicking in)
