When to take OPKs

Question

I will be starting TTC next month and I will be taking OPKs. I threw the boxes out (not thinking about it) for easier storage and I'm not sure what the best time of the day to take these. Google says either first morning urine, or 2:00pm. What are your experiences, and suggestion times to take OPKs for best results? Thanks!

I used to work in fertility, and we told the women to test in the afternoon/early evening, and if positive, we would do the IUI the following morning at 11. Even though the tests may say otherwise, only test afternoon/early eve. Make sure you hold your urine for 4 hours minimum. We also told the women they needed to use the clearblue opks. By the way, I test in the morning and afternoon so I don't miss it. I also have a second opk tester so I can check it again for 2 days after I get my solid smiley to see it the lh surge is still there.
