My best friend's daughter and my son are a year apart so they spend A LOT of time together, well one night my friend Kate and her daughter E (2 1/2 years old) were staying the night with my son M (3 1/2 years old) and I at my parents house. We were all laying in the bed with the lights off except for the fish tank light, E was laying on Kate and she was looking at the fish tank that was located near a mirrored closet door. She then began to exclaim "stranger! Scary stranger" Kate and I both looked at each other and then I asked E where is the stranger, She climbed off the bed, stood by the fish tank, pointed to the opposite corner of the room and said "hiding under that blanket" (mind you E doesn't talk that much.). At this point I could feel the color draining from my face and the hair on my arms standing up. Kate then begins to ask her questions:

Kate: is the stranger big like daddy or little like M?

E: big like daddy

Kate: is he a mean stranger or a nice one

E: mean

Kate: what color is he?

E: white and blue (the walls of my room are blue..so if it was something translucent it'd be white and blue because the walls blue)

At this point I jumped up off the bed and turned on the light. My son M then decided to tell me what the man looked like this was his explanation word from word:

M: "the scary shadow man is big like this (as he begins to bulk up his shoulders)...oh and his face looks like he is screaming."

This isn't the first time I have heard about this shadow man from my son. He use to have his own bed in that corner E saw the man but M told me that the wall use to talk to him at night and he'd see shadows at night.
