Not painful but regular contractions?

This is my first pregnancy...I've been having horrible and regular lower back pain for two days but no stomach pains until this morning. I'm very sure they're contractions but they aren't super painful..I started timing them with an app and the app said I should go to the hospital but should I? The only horrible pain I get is in my lower back. Should I time those too? I'm 39w 2d..

I would wait it out. As exciting as it is, you don't want to be monitored for a few hours and then sent home.(happened to me the other day)labor and delivery will tell you to wait until you can't talk through them.

With my first pregnancy my water broke and when I got to the hospital I started contracting and they were all in my back not my belly. I would time the ones you get in your belly and back. If your contractions are consistent and 5 min apart for a hr I would make a visit to L&D..; Good luck mama.

The duration is kind of all over the place. You should wait until contractions are about 4 minutes apart, and lasting about a minute long

You're in early labor. Mine was 6 minutes apart and they sent me home lol
