What'll happen during first time dr appointment?

I'm too new to this... my first dr appointment will be at my 8th weeks. Is it necessary my husband comes with me? Is the dr going to do the ultrasound? Will we hear the heartbeat?  And I thought they'll do ultrasound each time, but I just read other post it seems like they only do the ultrasound a couple of times?

mine did an ultrasound . I would call them and ask. they will tell you exactly what they will be doing :)

You'll do a pee test, they'll do a physical and check for stds and they'll do an ultrasound.

We had an ultrasound and a quick physical exam. My husband came and has actually come to all the appointments with me. We at least hear the heartbeat and have time for questions but I haven't had an ultrasound since the big anatomy scan.

Mine did a urine test and check for std but no ultrasound it depends on your clinic and doctor tbh

Some places do an ultrasound at the first appt and some don't. If you tell them you're not sure about the date of your last period they will most likely do one for dating. At least that's what happened to me during my first pregnancy.
