I use mostly a menstrual cup and tampons but I'll wear a pad occasionally

I've only ever used pads, and up until recently tampons. After getting a cyst from a clogged duct caused by a tampon I stopped using the tampons. 
But, I've always been a lil curious about the menstrual cups...like, how well do they work? is there a certain flow (light, regular, heavy) they do? is it comfortable? aren't they reusable? stuff like that.

Pads, then tampons for when I was on the pill, not pass again. my flows are too heavy for the cup and honestly my nether regions are like a Venus fly trap, it is very tight up there, I ha e a fear utll just pop out.
