Should religious topics be allowed in CC?

I've read in many places in this group that CC is a place where we should be discussing topics that you can support with facts, sources, and the like and is not a place to throw around arbitrary opinions.

It is very difficult to discuss theology (of all religions, not just the posts about Christianity that have been popping up recently) in a room with people of every kind of religion or non-religion, varying degrees of historical, cultural, and linguistic understanding and awareness, and back it all up with facts since so little of any religion can be concluded with the kind of evidence CC demands of its participants.

Should theological debates be discussed in CC even though theology cannot be debated in facts and evidence alone?
