First time using tampons?!

I'm 23 and a virgin and I'm trying to use tampons but I can't seem to get it in right, it feels uncomfortable, any tips on how to make this easier?

Relax and use the best size. I do regular and then pass when my flow lightens up. Try different ones and see which is most comfortable. I have noticed that the cheaper the more I feel the tampon.

The best advice I got was to make sure your muscles are relaxed. Like let your butt hang into the toilet so you know tense leg muscles aren't making internal muscles tense. Slide the applicator as far in as it can reach, and then push the plunger. Don't be surprised if the tampon goes off at an odd angle, and that's ok.

Also I think I should add my hymen hasn't really been torn so there's definitely still a definitive wall there

Try standing up and sort of bending your knees/squatting. That helped me get it in deep enough. I'm guessing it's not deep enough and that why's it hurting you.

first off don't be afraid to put it all the way in. if it's all the way in you won't feel it. secondly don't try and pull a fresh one out. if you just put one In the cotton sticks to your walls and it will hurt to pull it out. you have to wait for the tampon to absorb some blood first then it comes out easier. start with light and make sure the applicator is inserted all the way and then push it in.
