Did you carry to full term??

Question

So I have the reoccurring concern that I'll go into labor early.

I've been participating in a cloth diaper group on facebook and I keep hearing stories of Plus Size Mommas having babies weighing 6ish lbs a birth. It's making it hard for me to plan on a diaper stash while also freaking me out a bit.

So I want to know: did you carry your baby full term (37-40wks)?? And if so, what was their weight?

And if your baby was early, I'd also love to hear those details :)

I had my first child at 26 weeks. She weighted 2 lbs 4 oz at birth. I was about 255 lbs at that time. I pregnant with our second now and weigh about 199 lbs. I'm 7 weeks 3 days now and I hope and pray that this pregnancy will be full term. First pic I'm about 5 months with my 1st. Second pic is my daughter at birth. Third pic is my daughter and I this past weekend and I'm 7 weeks. And of course the fourth pic is my beautiful daughter now.

My son was 39w4d and 7lbs 1.3oz. Perfect size!

My daughter came 40w2d and was 8lbs 5oz. My son came 40w1d and was 7lbs 12oz. So it's really all up to the body. Chances are if your mother had big babies and carried full term, you have a 75% chance to do so as well.

My first was 40w4d weighed 7#15oz.  I am currently 39w1d with #2 boy.  Big girls dont always mean early or big babies...and this is with a 6ft6" husband!

Also, you being plus size really doesn't affect the weight of the baby, unless you have diabetes. Look at you and your siblings' weight as well as partner and his siblings' weights for a more realistic idea of what to expect.

I had to be induced at 39w4 days. My son was 7lbs 5 oz. Average size.

My daughter was born 39w6d and was 7 lbs 6 oz.

There's a certain amount of guess work in planning a stash, but don't stress too much about it. The hospital will send you home with some diapers, that should get you through a couple of days if you have to adjust your cloth stash.

I've carried both of mine to term , although I wasn't really considered " plus size " with my first he was actually my smaller baby weighing 6 lbs 5 oz. my daughter was 8 lbs 2 oz . 6-8 lbs is your average baby though:) they were both perfectly healthy and fit newborn size clothes .
