My parents have had 4 children, my patners parents have had 3, all of them treat me like I'm some 'paranoid crazy first time mum' for wanting no one, not even myself kiss the baby when she's born. Every single time I say it my mums pulls the whole "ummmm babies need germs" bullshit on me when no shit but that's a young toddler not a fucking newborn.

My partners entire family will be rocking up heaps when she's here as they're all full on, and I don't know how to ask them all not to kiss her or anything, I know some of them are going to do it anyway and it's going to piss me off...

It's common sense to be clean and not sick when you want to hold her but all the older family members and stuff are so 'old school' and ridiculous and think they know everything because they had kids 25 years ago
