That's the smell of iron. Raw red meat kind of smells the same way because of iron.

Yes smells like metal, because that's how blood smells. I can smell it before I spot, know I'm going to start soon. I have super nose tho.

I smell it, but only when I've used pads and sometimes with tampons. But since switching to the Diva cup I don't smell anything at all. The gross metallic smell is from the blood reacting with the oxygen in the air causing the smell.

I can smell my period just before it comes. That's how I know I'm about to start. Plus all the intense chocolate cravings. Lol but I just use good ole soap and water and never wear pads.
