Wake to feed?

I was told that since my 2 week old has enough poos and pees and is back to her birth weight don't wake her to feed she'll wake when she's hungry , so far it's been working but I just wanted advice or opinions on it and if other mothers do the same

This is correct love ❤️ once they are past their birth weight, let them sleep. They will absolutely let you know when they get hungry lol this is where that old adage "never wake a sleeping baby" comes into play. It feels weird, I know, but they need their sleep so let them sleep :)

It's more than okay to let your child sleep. They're not going to "accidentally starve" 🙄 my daughter has been sleeping through the night almost since birth. She's now 9 weeks and sleeps 9-12 hours straight each night. If she gets hungry, she lets me know. By the end of the day, she's still getting the same amount of formula each day and she's on track with her weight gain as well. So feel free to let them sleep and feed when they're awake 😊

I don't trust it, research "content to starve". It's false that all babies will "let you know" when they're hungry. I give my son 4 hours maximum to sleep before I wake him up to feed, most of the time he wakes by about 3hrs but there's been several times I've had to wake him from a deep sleep at 4hrs. Some babies just get so comfortable that they will not wake themselves when they are hungry and it becomes very easy to accidentally starve them.
