clever medical c section drape?

Question

has anyone gotten to experience the c section drape with the window? I was recently told (from a nurse that use to work there) that my hospital offers this option. I can't wait to find out if my doctor is on board with it as well. my last c section I was the last to hold the baby...granted she was an emergency c section so I get it but I want this time to be different, I want to be selfish and the first to hold her. I can't wait!

You can tell the doctors/nurses that absolutely no one (besides your hubby and docs/nurses) are allowed to hold your baby until you get to. They have to respect your wishes and not let any other family members or friends hold them until you get too whenever that may be.

Depending on how hard you want to fight you can also get a clear drape or no drape. Check out what a gentle cesarean is. It's really neat. I have a few friends that had them. One of them had to really fight for it to happen since it had never been done at the hospital before. But it went so well they're offering it to most everyone now.
