Heating pads?

I'm 13 weeks pregnant and all I ever want to do is lay on my heating pad! I have some serious back pain that gets worse when I'm pregnant and this really helps, but I don't want to cook the baby! I was just in the hospital for a few days and the nurses gave me a heating pad the whole time so it can't be too bad right?

I've used a heating pad this pregnancy and I have friends that have used them as well. We just used them on a low heat and made sure we weren't overheating!

I got told that you're better using hot water bottles as then you can regulate the heat whereas heat pads you are entirely out of control in that matter.

Dr told me it's fine as long as it is on my back. Having it on the belly can overheat the uterus and baby, but on the back it's perfectly safe

I used wheat bags/packs when my back got too sore but didn't hear them up as much and used on my back and made sure I kept the front of my body cool to not heat up my body overall
