In my opinion (because the bible doesn't clearly define the parameters of makeup) I don't think it's modest. The ONLY time makeup is actually mentioned in the bible, it's talking about a whore.  That speaks volumes to me. However, that's only my personal preference. I don't believe women who wear make-up are any less Christian than I am. I don't believe by me not wearing make-up, that I am somehow a better Christian, either. I believe it should be your own personal conviction either way.

No, the Bible doesn't forbid it. It only becomes wrong when it's ridiculously over the top because the Bible says to adorn ourselves with modesty and soundness of mind - 1 Timothy 2:9.

I believe God made us all perfect. I think that putting on makeup is kind of disrespectful to him. Its like saying "I'm not beautiful enough the way God made me." I personally don't wear makeup or paint my nails anymore. It has helped me love myself the way I am.

I don't think so. You can be modest and still have make up and nails painted. Ask would you be comfortable in God's presence? I wish I didn't have to wear make up but I battle cystic acne and so I wear it to cover up the cysts. I really believe that God's not going to judge me for that.

no, wearing make up and painting your nails is absolutely fine. what’s wrong is to defile your body. if you’re not defiling your body, then it’s absolutely fine. and personally, i believe the intent behind what you do to your body contributes to whether or not it’s acceptable.
