How long left alone?

How long do you leave your pup alone (as in how many hours a day)? My husband and I both work full time so we're trying to figure it out. We have a 4 month old lab

not trying to be pushy or say anything in a condescending way AT ALL - just putting it out there first. I got my puppy when he was 7 months old, from a I'll shelter and get was always in a crate or cage. he is five years old now and I have never been able to successfully potty train him, he always has to be in a crate because I don't live in an area where we have dog walkers or I can run home on my lunch break. however, that being said maybe the sooner you get your new fur baby out of the crate the better. best of luck!!

4 as a puppy now at 3yrs she can do 6 or more. She's a min pin ☺️

That young, we crated him and had a dog walker come at 12-1ish to walk him. Now that hes older (3) he can stay home for like 10 hrs and be fine. 4mo old puppies cannot be alone all day; they need to go to the bathroom and can't hold it

8-9 but i we go away for 2 days he's fine too, as long as we give him plenty of food and water

he can go 8-6 but I try not too. he's also older than yours and I've had to ease him into those long days. 
my mom lives 3 blocks away so on days I work I drop him off there so he can be with his "sister" dog and my mom.

a puppy can hold their bladder for how many months old they are plus 1 hour. so a 4 month old puppy should be able to hold their bladder for 4 to 5 hours. that's it.

Add 1 number to their age the first year. If your puppy is 4 months then he can stay at home 5 hours. When he's 5 months he can stay home alone 6 hours. I have a chihuahua and I used this method with him but I also caged him so he stays out of serious trouble and hurt himself. Good luck.
