Metformin with Issues

Okay I have been on Metformin 1000 mg twice a day for about a month now (my fertility specialist wants me to do this for at least 3 months before starting any other fertility meds). It hasn't kick started any periods yet but we are hopeful bc my body hasn't been able to have periods without provera. I have maintained a low carb diet but here lately I've been experiencing some burning in my lower stomach/intestinal area and was wondering if any one else experienced this and what they did for it? I've also been super nauseated at EVERYTHING that is offered to me. I would appreciate any kind of feedback of what I should do!
