How old was your baby when you first gave Tylenol/Motrin??

Question

Hoping to make it to at least 6 months before my daughter needs it. She is 3 months and so far we haven't had to use it, not even after shots. If she NEEDS it than I will of course give it to her. But for low grade temps that don't go up and go away fastly I would rather not give Tylenol for that.

2 months she got one dose after her shots. I was trying so hard not to but she was an absolute wreck and I couldn't comfort the pain away 🙄 since then, she's only had a few doses. a couple times when she was cutting teeth and couldn't sleep (it hurts more when they're laying down) and a couple of times after her 6 month shots. for some reason the 4 month shots didn't phase her at all 🤔 but I do agree, Tylenol is my last step after trying to comfort her or soothe her any other way. sometimes you just gotta though.

Tylenol you can use from birth, ibuprofen/Motrin has to wait until after six months. Teething hurts

I gave my son infant Tylenol @ 4 months because his shots caused him to run high fever. He was also over 18lbs @4 months so I didn't worry about it. If they need it they need it.

My son had to have Tylenol as a brand newborn because of a broken collarbone, most people use Tylenol after babies first shots as well
