My fingers are way too small?

So it's time to start looking for engagement rings. Boyfriend told me to look up what I want so I can give him an idea on what I like and want! I know exactly what I like and don't like. Including, pretty sure I have the exact ring I want picked!! The thing is, every jewelry I checked out doesn't resize to the size I need- being a size 4. Most say the minimum size they can go is a 5 or 6..and that is way too huge. 
I have a promise ring right now and it was resized to 4.5 and it's still obnoxiously big. A 4 would be perfect. 
How can I go about sizing even lower??? Does anyone know where to go?

I'm a 4. My engagement ring is a diamond solitaire from Blue Nile, & my wedding band is diamonds & sapphires from Ben Bridge.

Definitely check local places. I have a 4 and 3/4 size and my husband had no problem finding my engagement ring or my wedding band..

when my SO got my ring they only had it in a size 7. I went to where he got it from because they sized it for free. I did the sizing they had and it showed a 4 would fit me plus they said they could only size it down 3 sizes at the most. got my ring back and it's still too big. I need it to be a 3.5 And since the place he got the ring from won't do it my MIL knows someone at a jewelers that can do it for me. honestly any jeweler can size down a ring.

I'm a 4 too and my fiance just paid 50 dollars to get my ring sized. first he got me a 5 which was too big so he went back to the jewelry store and they sized it again which took a day.

Where are you currently looking? Try some local places, I have a 4.5 and my husband had no trouble finding the size.

Actually go into a jewelry store. That's what I had to do in order to get the ring I wanted in a smaller size.

Girl just get a ring that you love take it to the jewelers and get it sized to fit you. No biggie!!!
I got a ring from my man for my birthday. I got it taken from a 8 to a 6 and 3/4s to fit me perfectly.
