Anatomy scan

We had our anatomy scan today and found out we are having a girl <3 we also found out baby girl has a encogenic focus on her heart and I have never been more devistated when I got the news. I just had no idea what that wa but it sounded bad.  We saw Genetic councilor and had another blood test done to rule out downs (ef is a soft marker for downs). The specialist was so reassuring and said that the rest of the scan looked really good and EF is really not a huge deal in the spectrum of what could have been found on LO heart.  I just wanted to share because apparently this is a super common thing to find in a scan and usually it goes away on its own and causes no threat to LO. I hope mommies who get their scans read this first before they are totally freaked out like I was when my dr called me :)
