How much weight should a pregnant woman gain by the 5th month?

I'm in my 5th month (20 weeks) and I have gained a total of 3 pounds.
My MIL said I'm gaining to much already. Is this true?

You definitely have not gained to much don't let anyone tell you that. How much you SHOULD gain depends on your ore pregnancy weight.

Wow I feel huge now lol I gained 10 lbs in 12 weeks! Lol I'm now 16weeks and still at 10lbs gained. I can see a lil bump but nothing big. I think you are just fine! Just keep eating healthy :)

No. That's a good weight. I gained 5 lbs by 13 weeks and 17 lbs by 20 weeks and then yeah. lol gained a total of 35 lbs.

I'm just over 19 weeks & have gained 2.5kg or 5.5 pounds. My midwife said I'm doing & looking good.

I'm 20 weeks and have been gaining weight I believe pretty gradually but have gained 19 pounds already. I hope that's normal :-/

Ugh MILs!! Mine says I haven't gained enough (I'm 25 weeks and have gained 26 pounds!). Every body is different some gain more towards the end, others gain consistently throughout. Don't be concerned about it unless your doctor mentions it! :-)
