That's not a daith piercing in your picture, that's a rook...I have my rook done and it hurt, healing process was not fun, couldn't sleep on that side of my body. Now it's fine. This is a daith...

The picture you posted is a rook. The Daith is lower....I have mine done. I would say, on a scale of 1-10, it was a 4. It's a thicker piece of cartilage so that makes it worse. But, by the time I walked out of the shop, it wasn't hurting anymore.(It does hurt sometimes when I clean it etc) Also, make sure to find a reputable place to get it done!

It will hurt a bit but it also depends on the experience of the piercer and where they pierce it. If t hurts forever that means it wasn't done correctly.
