Unmed/natural birth Moms, what worked best?

I'm a FTM shooting for a natural unmedicated birth. I've hired a doula to help me as well. What worked best for you personally getting through L&D;?

Get in a nice hot bath, and a birthing ball! Bouncing and squating. Rocking my hips back n forth. Keep your palms open during the contractions so your body dont tense up. Hypnobirthing.... just tell yourself you CAN do it. I had a homebirth with a midwife and no doula. I wish I had a doula so she will be really helpful!

Hypnobirthing, calm quiet dark room, being able to labour moving around and in different positions, my doula and midwife were great too, being in the warm tub helped. I also ignored labour as long as possible and tried to sleep through early labour.

Personally? Having calm supportive people in the room. 
My hubby was beyond fantastic. He coached me throughout. 
My mom was a mess/stressed. 
As you can imagine, you're in a lot of pain during contractions and then pushing. So if your "support group" have a hard time with hearing/seeing you in pain, it makes it a bit harder for you.

I didn't have too bad of a time until she dropped completely. Once transition happened, sitting/squatting/peanut helped.

I think it is different for everyone. I hated moving it hurt too badly. The bath worked through active labor, but once I hit 9cm and stayed there for 20 hours I could only do the Bradley method position with a peanut ball between my legs, meditating, and counter pressure on my spine. Right before pushing I remember looking at my husband and telling him if I wasn't able to push I didn't know if I could make it. And thankfully I was good to go.
