Stupidly happy and it freaks me out?

So I'm absolutely, head over heels, stupidly in love with my husband. He's my sun and my stars. We've been together 8 years and married for 3, and the one thing I worry about is this feeling won't last forever. Everyone/everything I read says it will fade, etc. and it's always been a stressor for me. What a wonderful thing to stress over but I feel like it's so ridiculous. Haha. Please tell me you in-love for years success stories!

The feeling didn't fade for me. But after almost 15 years together the feeling is different. There aren't any butterflies or sweaty palms. But that has been replaced with a stronger, deeper connection I can't even describe.

But I'll take what we have now over that new feeling any day.

I'd say if it's been that way for 8 years your probably safe, I think REALLY loving your spouse is a choice everyday.  Obviously some of it isn't controllable, but it seems like you've been very focused on loving him and seeing him in his very best form.  I could do this better, and it's great to be reminded of that- so thank you.  I know I don't know you from Adam but from this post it sounds like you're a great wife- when you're no longer concerened if that feeling fades is when you should worry.  Enjoy being married to your soulmate and soak in every moment.  :)

My husband and I have been together for 9 years and going on 5 years married. I am still obsessed with him everyday. I love him so much I just want to eat him. I do know that feeling of fear but I think it's a good thing. It keeps me active in our relationship so I don't get lazy. I feel like when people get lazy in their marriage that's when it starts to fade.

Relationships, love, and people change and evolve. I think love only grows stronger when two people are committed and want the relationship to thrive.There are different stages of marriage and how we express our love. It only fades, or people call it falling out of love or growing apart,if the relationship isn't given effort and attention. As long as you are communicating and making time for eachother you can stay close and grow together. It's good that you have a little fear. It means you are aware of the nature of relationships and you want to make sure you aren't neglecting yours.

I was the same way with my relationship. I kept waiting for that happy feeling to fade. Everyone always told me it was just a new relationship thing. I think when you're in a good relationship it's entirely possible to keep that happy, in love feeling going on. Stop worrying and just enjoy it. Or keep worrying and working on it because it seems to be working for you. Either way, be happy.

I totally agree with you. I've been with my husband for almost 9 years, married for about 2. Everyone kept telling us the first year of marriage is the hardest, blah blah blah. I think because we've been dating for so long and fought about everything under the sun, there's not a whole lot to argue over anymore. Haha our love grows every day and I still get giddy over him. But it is definately what you put into the relationship that keeps it strong. :) the grass is not greener on the other side, it's greener where you water it. Make your happy ending a reality. 😍

I don't think the feeling ever fades, you just get comfortable sharing other emotions between you two and it's not the only feeling that's ever there. Hubby and I may fight and have moments where we want to slap the bejesus out of the other but that good feeling is always in the background to calm us and keep us from doing stupid things we'll regret. No matter what emotions rule any given moment it's that feeling that always comes back to us in the end and that's the foundation of our lives together, some cracks in the walls may arise but the foundation is always there ☺️

I've felt the same way we are very happy, and it almost seems like something is Wong with that because everyone else around us isn't as happy. Are we doing something wrong?  Is it all going to blow up?  I doubt it. I love my hubby and love watching him be the father of my children!

I've been married for 5 years in May. I don't see it fading anytime soon. I love my husband very much. We hardly ever argue. Not saying never but not usually. When we do its something stupid just because stupid me is having an emotional day. ;) I don't believe it will fade. People who say that are just piss ed because they didn't get their happy ending. :)
