I love how protective he is of me. It's comforting.

We were visiting some of his family that had just moved into the city and we were outside walking and some jerkwad says I have a nice ass and whistled at me. So my SO went over there to tell him to apologize and the guy said it's his first amendment that he can say what he wants. So my SO was like "excuse me? Boy the first amendment protects you from the government not me. You can say what you want out there, but if you come within an arms reach of me I'll exercise my right to give you a good ole country ass whooping. it's what I'll do by God." So I got a really sincere apology.

My past boyfriends have been manipulative, controlling, and verbally & mentally abusive. So I never really felt protected or safe. 
My most recent ex was also wire-y (not very muscular) and didn't feel the need to "display any sort of affection in public" (I had to work with him to make him understand that holding my hand or a quick kiss wasn't inappropriate) so I never felt like he was protective of me...

My current boyfriend is very protective of me and I absolutely love it.

As long as he isn't crossing over into being controlling, I think it's all well and good :)

My fiancé doesn't mind if a guy hits on me, he actually likes it cause he has what another guy likes kind of thing lol. He used to always go to bars and get into fights but I had never seen any of them, just heard about it so I never really believed him. But one night we went out to a club with friends and family and my girls and I were dancing and some creep tried dancing with me after I told him to get lost and that I was engaged. Next thing I know he tries to feel me up and before I could slap him he was on the ground. Never in our entire relationship have I seen my fiancé so angry but it was a turn on honestly lol
