Nexplanon?

today I went to my doctor and I am getting on birth control because I have sex. the only form of birth control I have used is condoms and withdrawal along with it. next week when I get my period i have decided to get the implant in my arm (nexplanon). after a couple months of having it inserted I would prefer to not have to use condoms. if any of you guys have the implant and are sexually active, do you still use a condom??

I've had my nexplanon for 5 years now and my husband and I haven't used a condom since I got it but you should still probably uses condom still just to be extra safe. You never know and you could be apart of the small percentage that still gets pregnant.

My partner and I haven't needed to use condoms. I got my implant inserted almost three weeks ago and am period free. One of the best decisions I've made in a while. Lol

I'm on nexplanon as well and have been for about 3 months now. I don't use a condom but I also have one partner. If you have several partners, be sure to use a condom because Nexplanon doesn't protect against STD's :)

I'm on nexplanon as well and my boyfriend and I don't use condoms because neither of us have had another partner and we are each other's only partner

I've used it for 4 years and love it!! But unless you're in a committed monogamous relationship  (and even then still get tested every once in a while) keep using condoms! It is amazing not having to think about BC every day but worrying about STI's is worse!
