The only male gyno that should be in your life, is your husband!

I never wanted a male doc. Ended up having one when my doc went out on maternity leave. That was 5 years ago, and I'm still going to him. He's wonderful! Gender doesn't matter. Expertise and bedside manner is what counts.

I love my male Gyno! I went to him after a horrible experience with a woman. I personally think it's the doctor man or woman that could be your best fit. When he diagnosed me with PCOS and explained why I've been having trouble conceiving, he sat by my side while I cried. He told me I wasn't alone and he will be with me every step of the way. I am lucky to have found him and wouldn't change it for the world.

I prefer male over female. For some reason males seem more sensitive to your needs

Had a male gyno once and it will be the only time! His ego was the size of Texas. He seemed to think that all my pain was stress related & that despite not wanting kids I should go ahead & have some because it would reduce my risk of some cancers. He was infuriating! I feel like many male doctors have god complexes especially when they treat women (gynologically and otherwise). I happily see a female doctor now who really listens & empathizes.

In my experience their much more gentle then female GYNOS

My former (male) gun I had this big bushy mustache, and I couldn't get over it. Haha! I used to work at the same hospital as him and it was so weird when we passed in the hall! But he was the best in town. Which is why he is still my mom's gyno. This dude has seen two generations of ladybits in my family.

Gyno appointments are already so uncomfortable that I prefer not to have a male. However in my area male gynos outnumber female gynos nearly 9 to 1! So simply by shear odds I'm forced to choose between a better doctor at times and my own comfort. It's not that I've ever felt that they were looking at me wrong. I'm just already so mortified during exams, at least if I have a female, I feel like she's been through this too and she has the same stuff so no need to be embarrassed. I know I may be weird but it's just me. ?

I have had 4 male and 2 female gynos. My mother and mother-in-law both use men, also. I LOVED all of the men, but my current one is my favorite. As for the women? They seemed cold and disconnected. All of the men made sure I felt comfortable and never assumed anything. Both woman made me feel like I was doing something wrong. The men focus on me improving my own health while the women focused on telling me all I have already done wrong.

My lady ob/gyn is amazing! She is sweet and funny and listens to all my concerns and doesnt degrade what i want out of my pregnancy/labor/birth experience. Love her to death!
